Sheri is one of those special teachers that you come across once or twice in a lifetime. Both her background in music and formal education shine as she guides students through each class with joy. Her ability to mix fun, technical knowledge, and straightforward music education on day one of class had my jaw on the floor. I feel extremely lucky that my son takes classes with her, and am very thankful she’s kind enough to answer all my musical questions as he learns. lol Thanks Sheri!Posted on Andrea GruberTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It’s comfortable, inviting and has the most incredible coffee maker I’ve seen! Sheri truly loves what she does as evidenced by her genuine smile and enthusiasm. She has been very encouraging as she works with both of my children, both of which have special needs. She has met them where they are at, and celebrates every success with them. Make the drive to beautiful Auburn, you won’t be sorry!Posted on Kaitlyn CatheyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ready to rock out?
If you’re wanting to play drums, you’ve found the right place. I teach all ages from all walks of life – whether you’re a second-grader or an engineer at Google. From Arctic Monkeys to RHCP to Bruno Mars to Led Zeppelin, I’m here to help you drum to your favorite songs. I’ll work with you on your hand and foot technique, as well as teaching you how to read drum set notation and practice effectively. Our lessons together are a great supplement to school music programs or as a stand-alone.
"Sheri, Is a lot of fun to work with. Her positive attitude on life flows from her which then helps others to have the same feelings. She is very encouraging and thoughtful of others needs. Her talents in music are unmeasurable." - Dan R.
I love what I do.
I'm Sheri and I love to teach drums! I've been teaching for over 25 years and have a Master's in Music Education. What makes me most excited about my business is watching my students improve in their drumming skills week to week. Seeing that big smile on a student's face when something finally clicks, totally makes my day! I also love the variety of people I get to work with who all share a passion for drumming. Little kids, big kids, dads, moms, retired engineers, Stanford professors, high-tech employees, and many more have been a part of the Hit It Big Drum School family. Every day is different and every lesson keeps me on my toes. That's what makes my job the best job in the world!
